Peru coffee is not your typical South American – it tends to be cleaner and smoother than, say, a typical cheap Brazil or Colombia. Very good Peruvian coffees are very clean and very low acid. Also, organic Perus like this one are fairly abundant.
Cajamarca is a growing region in northwest Peru, right up against mountainous Ecuador. It’s a straightforward bean, not too complex, but a crowd pleasing taste. We roast it light to medium, where it’s smooth and sweet and clean, and has unique floral and lemon notes, with a pleasant nutty aftertaste. We could sip on this coffee all day.
